LUXURY IN THE WILD, SLEEPING UNDER THE (DESIGNER) STARS

Monarto Safari Resort represents a unique addition to South Australia's hospitality landscape, offering premium accommodation in a distinctive regional setting. Located one hour from Adelaide, this boutique safari resort demanded lighting solutions that would complement its luxury positioning while navigating the challenges of remote construction. Amphis collaborated closely with interior designers, architects, builders and electrical contractors to deliver a comprehensive lighting package that enhances both the architectural vision and guest experience.

Client Objectives

Working within a collaborative project team, Amphis addressed several key requirements:

  • Deliver luxury lighting appropriate for a premium safari accommodation.
  • Navigate the logistical challenges of supplying to a remote regional South Australian location.
  • Adapt to contractor changes and design modifications during the construction phase.
  • Maintain project timelines despite build interruptions and evolving specifications.

Amphis’s Solution‍

Amphis developed a tailored lighting approach combining custom solutions with proven product ranges:

  • Our Timbre downlights were customised to provide sophisticated ambient lighting throughout guest areas.
  • Perri downlights deliver focused illumination where precision is needed.
  • Decorative light fittings were sourced specifically for the resort's unique style from Marz Designs and Ferm Living.
  • Extensive neon strip lighting creates dramatic accent features and wayfinding throughout the hotel.
  • Full lighting package coordination ensured seamless integration with architecture and interiors.

Implementation

Despite the challenges of remote location logistics and mid-build changes, Amphis successfully delivered the complete lighting solution on schedule. The result is a lighting environment that elevates the resort's architectural design while creating the luxury ambience guests expect. Monarto Safari Resort now offers visitors an illuminated experience that matches the uniqueness of its safari setting, positioning Amphis as a reliable partner for boutique hospitality developments.
